In the past, the insertion of the implants was followed by a healing period of 4 to 8 months, during which the patient had to wear a "removable prosthesis" or alternatively was edentulous.

Thanks to the brilliant invention of my antecessor, Dr Philippe Ledermann in 1977, today in most cases, we are able to place fixed teeth on implants in less than 24 hours.
